What goods are exempted from duty

What goods are exempted from paying import duties?

Exemptions are available (subject to conditions) in respect of:

· import duties on raw materials and components used directly for the manufacture of goods for export and domestic markets.

· dutiable machinery and equipment which are used directly in the manufacturing process and are not available locally.

The manufacturers are required to apply to the relevant authorities for exemption.
