What should I do when I receive an IRB notice?
You should not ignore any IRB notices. Regardless of what the notice says, the questions raised should be addressed in writing. If you do not understand the notice, it is important that you bring it to the attention of a tax professional immediately. You do not want to risk loosing valuable legal rights and/or having forced collection action against your business. If you take no action of the IRB notice, IRB may levy the bank account and/or garnish accounts receivable and the like.
