When service tax is payable?

Service tax is payable to the customs authorities when payment is received for services rendered. If payment is not received within 12 calendar months from the date of issuance of invoice, the tax is due on the day immediately after the expiry of the 12-month period.

 

The service tax due and payable by a taxable person is required to be remitted to the customs authorities within 28 days after the end of each taxable period, which is 2 calendar months.
